Why anyone drives to a showroom.
Tile changes character with light. A zellige that reads warm cream under a showroom spot goes green beside a north-facing window, and a honed marble that looks soft on a screen can turn cold against warm oak. Stone is worse. No two slabs are alike, veining runs where it runs, and the piece you point at is the piece that gets cut. That is the one thing a photograph cannot do for you, and it is the whole reason this room exists.
